Dale Leonard Grierson was born May 20, 1918 to Chester Allen and Eva Naomi Whiteman Grierson. He died Oct. 18, 1944 and is buried in Florence American Cemetery and Memorial, Florence, Italy.
Sgt. Grierson served with the U.S. Army 755th Tank Battalion in World War II and died of wounds received in action in Italy. He was awarded the Purple Heart and French Croix de Guerre.
