Donald J. Gentry was born Dec. 28, 1918 to Walter H. and Jocena A. Johnson Gentry. He died Feb. 18, 1944 and has a cenotaph in Cedar Cemetery, Rinard, IA. He is buried in the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Manila, Philippines.
Sgt. Gentry served with the U.S. Army Air Corps Co. B, 436 Signal Construction Battalion, Aviation in World War II. He died while in service at Lae, New Guinea.
