Albert C. Furler was born Apr. 3, 1919 to Fritz and Ida J. Walter Furler. He is buried in the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Manila, Philippines. He has a cenotaph in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Blairstown, IA.
Cpl. Furler served with the U.S. Army 34th Infantry, 24th Division in World War II and was KIA on Leyte Island. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
