KILLED IN ACTION -- Mrs. Donald G. Fisher, who makes her home at Apt. 8, 12 1/2 First street N.W., Mason City, received word Saturday that her husband, Pfc. Fisher had been killed in action in Germany, April 6. He was with the armored artillery, 9th army. Pfc. Fisher, who enlisted in February, 1942, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fisher, Nashua, and one of 6 sons in the service. The others are Pfc. Loyal Fisher, Pvt. Lawrence Fisher of the marines, Pfc. Leland Fisher, Pvt. Lyle Fisher, and Pvt. Mark Fisher. The Fishers have 2 other sons Edmund and Blaine and a daughter Mona.
Pfc. Fisher was married Feb. 6, 1943 to Mrs. Margaret Neal Kaasa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Neal, 916 S. 4th St., Clear Lake. She received a letter from him Friday written April 3. He went overseas last November and had been in England, France, Belgium, and Germany. He once wrote from a rest camp in Holland.

Lawrence Lester Fisher was born Aug. 11, 1920. He died May 10, 1945 and is buried in National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii.
