Charles Harold Evans was born July 13, 1908 to Charles T. and Mary Murphy Evans. He died Nov. 5, 1944 and is buried in Woodbine Cemetery, Woodbine, IA.
Pvt. Evans served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Detachment, 112th Infantry Battalion, European Theater of Operations and became missing and was later declared to have died of wounds received in action in Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
