Thomas and Marie Thorsbakken Enderson had three sons serving their country in World War II:Tilford Marvin, Kenneth Arnold, and Charles Lowell.
Tilford Marvin Enderson was born Feb. 27, 1922. He died May 20, 2010 and is buried in South Marion Cemetery, Stratford, IA.
Tilford served with the U.S. Army in World War II in the Asiatic and Pacific Theatres.

Tilford Enderson, 88, of Stanhope, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be held Monday May 24, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stanhope, with Rev. Joe Lambert officiating. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery, southeast of Stratford, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post # 576 of Stratford.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.
Tilford Marvin Enderson, son of Thomas and Marie Thorsbakken Enderson, was born February 27, 1922 at Stanhope. He received his education in rural schools in the Stanhope area. During W.W. II, he served with the U.S. Army in the Asiatic and Pacific Theatres. Following his discharge, he started farming south of Stanhope. On February 6, 1944, he married Alice Matilda Erickson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Jewell. The couple continued to farm in the Stanhope area. They retired in 1983. Mrs. Enderson died January 9, 2004.
Tilford is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Bethene and Paul Clark of Stanhope; grandson, Lance and Kelly Haman of Stratford; granddaughter, Jill Haman of Stanhope;great grandchildren, Levi, Madison, Avery, Lucy and Aiden Haman; sisters and brother-in-law Arlene Sealine of Webster City, Shirley and Dean Larsen of Story City; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Maxine Enderson of Stanhope.
In addition to his wife, Alice, he was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Enderson and grandson Lon Haman.
Tilford was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Stanhope Lions Club.
