Wayne Osten Eckles was born May 5, 1917 to Ralph and Bessie Gale Eckles. He died Jan. 22, 1944 and is buried in Burge Cemetery, New London, IA.
Lt. Eckles served in World War Ii with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died in Muroc, CA while making a routine flight while in the service of his country.
