Prayer Before the Mission
While in training in the U.S., these airmen attended church in a body once a week. Now at Palau Islands base,, they pray together before each mission. Chaplain, at left, is Milton Dowden of Waterloo. Members of the Liberator crew include Sergt. Walter L. Libbert, a gunner of Burlington, Ia.
