LeRoy Ralph Dale was born Oct. 23, 1915 to Walter LeRoy and Gertrude Jergenson Dale. He died Apr. 12, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 5, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and in East Lawn Cemetery, Algona, IA.
Chief Petty Officer Dale served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Humphreys (DD-236) and USS Lindsey (DM-32) and was MIA/FOD/KIA while serving aboard the Lindsey. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
