Marvin AKA Marwin Eugene Crow was born Feb. 6, 1908 to John Hay and Lulu Loretta Miller Crow. He died Nov. 2, 1942 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, East Coast Memorial, New York, NY and has a cenotaph in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter, IA.
Petty Officer Crow served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/FOD/KIA, in the service of his country, at sea in the Atlantic area aboard the S.S. Zaandam. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
