PARENTS RECEIVE MEDAL AWARDED TO PFC. CROUCH
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Crouch of this city have received the Purple Heart medal awarded their son, Pfc. Lawrence Crouch, who was wounded June 8, in the Italian war zone.
Private Crouch, a member of the Iowa National Guard unit which left from this city in February, 1941, was hit twice in the side by enemy fire.
Latest news received from him indicates he is recovering nicely.

Lawrence Dean Crouch was born Oct. 8, 1921 to Herman Ervin and Zoa Louella Taylor Crouch. He died May 18, 2001 and is buried in the Mabel Cemetery, Mabel, MN.
