Guy L. Clubb, jr., formerly of 1339 Forty-fourth st., became a second lieutenant at the graduation exercise of the chemical warfare service officer candidate school at Edgewood Arsenal, Md.

LIEUT. CLUBB DIED AT ANZIO
Second Lieutenant Guy L. Clubb, jr., previously announced missing in action Jan. 26, has been reported by the war department as killed in action on that day.
He was aboard a navy ship which was sunk by explosion of a mine in the vicinity of Anzio beachhead . This information was received by his wife, Marjorie Rock Clubb, San Diego, Cal., formerly of Des Moines, and forwarded to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.L. Clubb, 1339 Forty-fourth st.
Lieutenant Clubb was graduated from Roosevelt High school and was a student at Drake university and Iowa State college. Before entering the service he was employed at Hasting, Nebr.
Survivors, besides his wife and parents are a brother, Ensign Robert Clubb, Ottumwa, Ia; and two sisters, Marjorie Clubb, San Diego, Cal., and Gertrude Clubb, Ann Arbor, Mi.
