Delbert Eugene Clegg was born in Apr. 25, 1924 to Erskin and Minnie May Baker Clegg. He died May 16, 1945 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands and has a cenotaph at Grandview Cemetery, Fayette, IA.
Pvt. Clegg served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. A, 39th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division, First Army and died of wounds received in action in Germany. He was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart.
