Clayton Michael “Bus” Carmody was born Apr. 5, 1923 to Thomas Martin and Florence Marie Kniel Carmody. He died Dec. 26, 2012 and is buried in Saint James Cemetery, Colo, IA.
Clayton served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Reno (CL-96) which was torpedoed on Nov. 4, 1944 and he stayed with that vessel as it returned to Charleston, SC for repairs.
