Frank Cardamon was born Nov. 7, 1921 to Nicholas and Angela Maria Bonacci Cardamon. He died Oct. 31, 2010 and is buried in Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines, IA.
Sgt. Cardamon served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was captured on Corregidor and spent three years and four months in Japanese prison camps. He received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
