Walter Junior Brunhaver was born May 4, 1923 to Walter Alvin and Rose May Parry Brunhaver. He died Jan. 10, 1945 and has a cenotaph in East Lawn Cemetery, Sheldon, IA. He is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Lt. Brunhaver served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 8th Photographic Squadron, 6th Reconnaissance Group and was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
