Sgt. L. Brostrom Reported Missing Raid Over Europe
Sergeant Lambert Brostrom, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Brostrom, 1300 Glass Avenue, has been reported missing in action over Germany, according to information received by the parents from the war department.
The action occurred February 21, the dispatch states. Sergeant Brostrom was a gunner in the Flying Fortress crew. He enlisted in the air corps in October, 1942. He is an East High School graduate and attended Morningside College.

L. Brostrom, Technical Sergeant, Was Gunner On Fortress
Technical Sergeant Lambert Brostrom was killed in action over Germany, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Brostrom, 1300 S. Glass Street, have been informed by the war department.
Mr. and Mrs. Brostrom were told earlier by the government that their son had been missing in action since February 21, and his death was confirmed several days ago.
An engineer-gunner on a Flying Fortress, Sergeant Brostrom was stationed in England and had been overseas since the middle of December, 1943. He enlisted in the Army in October, 1942.
Born and reared in Sioux City, the sergeant is a graduate of East High School and attended Morningside College. At the time of his enlistment he was employed by United Airlines at Cheyenne, Wyo., as a junior inspector of B-17’s.
He is survived by his parents, one brother, Robert Brostrom, who is employed by United Airlines at Cheyenne and three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Eastlund, Meryle and Frances Brostrom, all at home. Mrs. Eastlund’s husband is in service.
