Virgil E. Bolinger was born Jan. 15, 1919 to John R. and Susie H. Scott Bolinger. He died May 8, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Sgt. Bolinger served in World War II with the U.S. Army 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division and was KIA on Mindanao Island, Philippine Islands. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
