A. L. ARNDORFER, ALGONA SAILOR, FRACTURES HIP
When Arnold L. Arndorfer, Algona, and a shipmate were crossing an intersection in Norfolk, Virginia, Saturday night, a week ago, the former was hit by a car and in the accident, he suffered a broken hip. His companion had his foot hurt, but only slightly. Arnold was rushed to the Navy hospital and placed in a cast which he will be compelled to wear for eight weeks. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Arndorfer, Algona, and is serving with the Navy, having enlisted in September, 1942. He was home on leave last July and again had a few days leave just recently.

Arnold Louis Arndorfer was born Sept. 13, 1920 to John Martin and Caroline Ann Arndorfer. He died Apr. 17, 1983 and is buried in Saint Benedict Catholic Cemetery, Algona, IA.
