LIBERATED
Pvt. Floyd Akins, prisoner of the Germans 27 months, has been freed by Allied troops, according to word received by his sister, Mrs. Lafayette Ballard, 2938 Mahaska ave. Mrs. Ballard’s brother-in-law, Cpl. True Ballard, who was captured at the same time as Private Akins, also has been freed. The men were captured in North Africa.
