Andrew Albert Adams was born June 11, 1923 to Leo and Mary Belle Staley Adams. He died Aug. 19, 1988 and is buried in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Omaha, NE.
Sgt. Adams served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Funeral services for Andrew Adams, 65 will be held at the St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Omaha at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 26. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Omaha.
Mr. Adams of Harrison, Ark., died Friday, August 19 at the St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Mo. He had lived in Boone County 11 years prior to moving to Arkansas.
Mr. Adams was a retired colonel with the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a retired federal employee with 40 years of service in both the National Park Service, as well as the Strategic Air Command. He was a member of and past president of the National Retired Federal Employees, having been named recently as federal legislative chairman of the Arkansas federation.
Mr. Adams was also a member of the Retired Officers Association. He headed the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program for the past three years.
Survivors are his wife, Nancy Cicero Adams; a son Leo of Omaha; seven daughters; Patricia Langenbau, Mora, Minn., Ann Hobbe, Valerie Sherman, both of Bellevue, Neb., Rose Vokoun, Papillion, Neb., Marguerite Fertig, St. Joseph, Mo., Pamela Phillips, Ft. Lauder lane, Fla., Stephanie Myers, Modale; a step-daughter, Jennie Franco, Anaheim, Calif.; a brother, Leo H. Adams of Webster City; three sisters, Edna Bakken of Webster City, Cleone Pelz, Blairsburg, and Darlene Jones, Des Moines; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
