Vernon A. Voss, Denison, Listed As A Casualty
Private Vernon A. Voss, whose mother, Mrs. Minnie Voss lives on route No. 6, Denison, is slated among thirteen Iowans killed in action in a casualty list announced by the War Department, according to an Associated Press dispatch. Mr. Voss was killed in the southwest Pacific.

Vernon Anton Christian Voss was born Dec. 13, 1918 to Christian Frederick and Annie Arp Voss. He died Oct. 29, 1942 and is buried in Morgan Cemetery, Schleswig, IA.
Pvt. Voss served in World War II with the U.S. Army 126th Infantry, 32nd Division.
