Pvt. Robert V. Ulin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Ulin, 925 Monroe N. W., is now stationed in England with a medical detachment. He entered the service last July.

Class of '41 Lists 94 on War Roster

As research progresses on the Mohawk HONOR ROSTER so as to have a service flag unfurled in Mason City high school in 1945, 2 startling words, "SUPREME SACRIFICE," figure not only in the class of 1942, published last week, but also in the class of 1941. The 3 GOLD STAR graduates to date are Louis Pion, and Robert Ulin, '42, and Sterling Seymour, '41. Sterling was also awarded the purple heart for extreme bravery in action. . . .

Robert Vance Ulin was born Oct. 27, 1922 to Wilbur V. and Pearl Ulin. He died June 29, 1944 and has a cenotaph in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA.

Pvt. Ulin served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Field Artillery Observation Battalion and was KIA when the Liberty cargo ship which was carrying troops to France was torpedoed in the English Channel.
