Cpl. Robert E. Sherman, who was taken prisoner at Faid Pass in February, 1943, by the German army, has been liberated, according to a V-mail letter received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Sherman, 1620 Second avenue. Cpl. Sherman, who has been overseas for 39 months, wrote the letter from a German town and said he was to be flown soon to a town in France.
