WAUCOMA—Sgt. Joseph Scallon, quarter master corps, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Scallon, returned home after being discharged from the Army air base, Sioux Falls, S.D. Joe was with the 15th air force in the African and Italian campaigns.

Joseph Paul Scallon was born Nov. 27, 1906 to James E. and Anna G. Lynch Scallon. He died Jan. 2, 1967 and is buried in Saint Rose Cemetery, Waucoma, IA.
