Harris Rosendahl went to Omaha last week and enlisted in the U. S. Merchant Marine service.

Harris Rosendahl, who enlisted in the Merchant Marines, and who has been assigned to sea duty after completing his training at the Sheepshead Bay, N.Y., training station, was notified just before shipping that he has been selected for training in the merchant marine officer’s school, and was given a leave home. Harris Rosendahl, who is in the U.S. Merchant Marine service, left Thursday for New Orleans, Louisiana, to receive further instruction. He has been home since he completed his preliminary training at Sheepshead Bay, Long Island.

SOLDIER NEWS.
C/M Harris Rosendahl left Friday evening after spending two weeks leave at his parental home, for MMTS at Kingspoint, Long Island, where he will be assigned to a year of training and study. En route he spent Sunday with his sister, Verian, who is now in Chicago.

NEWS OF SERVICEMEN.
Cadet Midshipman Harris Rosendahl, who attends the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, Long Island, arrived home Saturday for a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rosendahl. He will return to his duties on Friday.
