Malvern Air Officer Reported Missing

MALVERN – Lt. Earl Rodenberg, a co-pilot, has been reported missing in action over France since May 24, according to word received by his wife, the former Maxine Wolfe of Malvern. Mrs. Rodenberg and her baby son make their home with her mother, Mrs. Edward Wolfe in Malvern. Lt. Rodenberg’s parents life in Council Bluffs.

Earl Eugene Rodenburg was born Sept. 21, 1919 to John H. and Wilhelmine M. Witt Rodenburg. He died Sept. 20, 1995 and is buried in Grange Cemetery, Honey Creek, IA.
Earl served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 429th Bomb Squadron, 2nd Bomb Group.
