Private Henry Riemersma returned to Indiantown Gap, Pa., after having spent a furlough with his parents.

SOLDIER NEWS.
Pfc. Henry Riemersma, jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Riemersma, sr., of Sheldon, was slightly wounded in action in France on August 11, according to a telegram received by the parents last Sunday. No direct word had been received from Pfc. Riemersma as yet. Pfc Riemersma entered the service December 16, 1942, and went overseas a year ago last September. He was stationed in England until he was sent to France a short time after D-day. He is with an infantry unit.—Sheldon Mail.

Henry Riemersma, Jr. was born Nov. 10, 1921 to Henry (Sr.) and Marie Vermullen Riemersma. He died Feb. 6, 1995 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Matlock, IA.
