Cpl. D. J. Rehm, Sergeant Bluff, Killed on Iwo
Cpl. Darrold John Rehm, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Barnes of Sergeant Bluff, was killed in action on Iwo Jima, February 24, according to word received by his parents.
He was in the Marines three years, serving two in the South Pacific in the Third division. Before entering the service, he was a machinist.
Survivors besides his parents, are a brother, Kenneth, who is serving with the American field service in Italy as an ambulance driver, and two sisters, Mrs. Billy Taylor and Miss Rita Rehm, both of San Francisco.
