IN OVERSEAS SIGNAL CORPS UNIT
Four southwestern Iowa men are members of a signal corps unit stationed at one of the largest supply headquarters in the Mediterranean theater, according to an announcement from that area Monday.
Stationed there are Pfc. Ernest O. Millard, brother of Minnie Millard, 1002 Second avenue; Cpl. Harold Hobart, son of Mrs. Cora Hobart of Creston; Cpl. Warren R. Poland, son of Mrs. Sarah A. Poland, of Onawa; and Pfc. Howard H. Lamp, brother of Lloyd Lamp of West Side.

Warren Robert Poland was born May 9, 1921 to Elmer L. and Sarah A. Cummins Poland. He died May 1, 1999 and is buried in Onawa City Cemetery, Onawa, IA.
