IN UNIFORM
Pfc. Jess W. Periska, son of Mr. and Mrs. V. Periska, 707 Prescott street, now serving with the First cavalry division in Manila, helped blast the Japs out of their dugouts and in the destruction of many enemy artillery pieces around Manila. Pfc. Periska is an artillery-man and a veteran of three campaigns. He fought in the Admiralty islands and at Leyte. His wife and two children reside in Sioux City.
