Pfc. Alwin Olstad Hurt in Combat
Pfc. Alwin N. Olstad, 20, serving with an armored division of Patton’s Third army, was wounded seriously in action in Belgium December 31, according to notification received from the War Department by his mother, Mrs. O. Olstad, 1118 22d street.
Pvt. Olstad, formerly employed at Albertson & Co., entered the army March, 1943. He received his training at Camp Polk, La., before going overseas last July. He is a graduate of Central high school.
