IN UNIFORM
William S. Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz J. Nelson, 2301 W. Second street, stationed at the distributing and commissary office at North Bend, Ore., has been promoted from ensign to lieutenant junior grade. A graduate and former drum major at Central high school and Nebraska State Teachers college, he entered the army, and after five months of training was transferred to the navy and given an ensign’s commission. He attended Harvard University before going to his present station.
