Daniel J. Lorraine, machinist’s mate second class, has been transferred from the battleship U.S.S. Texas to the advanced Diesel school at Norfolk, Va., according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lorraine, 220 Lupton street. He left Waterloo Oct. 6, 1942, having worked at the Waterloo Valve Spring Compressor company. After a two months course in Norfolk, he will be sent to a factory to finish his training as master machinist.
