A cable came thru to Mrs. Bond E. Lane, 160 Gates street, on Tuesday morning notifying her that her husband had been promoted from first lieutenant to captain. Captain Lane, who has been in England since September, 1942, was stationed near Lt. Col. Earl F. Jago. He was formerly in the post exchange and is now with the quartermaster’s corps.
