Arnold M. Kuester, former athletic coach in the Akron public schools, who was recently commissioned a second lieutenant at the Infantry Training School at Fort Benning, Georgia, has been assigned to duty in Oregon.

Akron, Iowa – Arnold Kuester, who was instructor and coach in the public school here, has been promoted to first lieutenant. He is stationed at Camp White, Oregon.

Arnold Martin Kuester was born May 9, 1915 to Edmund Henry and Hedwig Alma Franz Kuester. He died Apr. 23, 2007 and is buried in Heritage Memorial Park, Dewey, AZ.
