News About Men in Service From Over Northeast Iowa
STACYVILLE—Mrs. Agatha Kraus received word from her son Pfc. John Kraus that he was injured while on maneuvers and had his arm and hand and fingers in a cast. He will be in the hospital several weeks.

John Vincent Kraus was born Aug. 11, 1922 to John Frederick and Agatha Julia Hemann Kraus. He died Sept. 8, 2013 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Charles City, IA.
John served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.
