Maj. James F. Kirkendall, former supervisor of the federal milk market administration here, led the last mission flow by P-40 War Hawks in the European theater of operations and has arrived at the Miami Beach, Fla., redistribution station to await reassignment. He is 24 years old and a veteran of 150 missions, which is 70 more than his required tour of duty. He has been awarded the silver star, the distinguished flying cross with an oak leaf cluster, the air medal and five clusters, and the purple heart with one cluster. His fighting service extended from Egypt to the border of Germany and he has an outstanding record as a pilot and squadron commander.
