Friends here will regret to learn of the death of Ernie Jones, formerly employed at the McCormick-Deering Company in Corning. He entered military training in the summer of 1943, and trained as an Army pilot. He was killed in action in the South Pacific sometime last week, according to word received here. Mrs. Jones and her small son are living with her parents at Logan, Iowa. The little fellow was born soon after Ernie entered training.
