Soldier, Father of Three, Listed Missing in Action
Pfc. Herbert Jolin, whose wife and three children, Herbert jr., Dennis and Cherie Anne, live at 418 Isabella street, is reported missing in action March 27 in Germany, his wife has been notified. He is a son of Mrs. Caroline Jolin, 1120 W. Fifth street.
Pvt. Jolin was with engineers. He was inducted here in the spring of 1944 and has been overseas since the first part of this year. He has three brothers in service: Capt. Leo Jolin whose station is Corsica, Lt. Philip Jolin now at home after being wounded in action in Germany, and S. Sgt. Dorence Jolin with infantry in Germany. There are four sisters and two other brothers in the family.
Before his induction Pvt. Jolin was a painter here.
