PVT. ROSCOE JOHNSON, REPORTED MISSING IS BACK IN ACTION

Pvt. Roscoe L. Johnson, formerly reported missing as of December 4, has returned to duty, according to a telegram from the War Department received Wednesday by his wife, who lives at 410 13th street.  The telegram gave no details but stated that he rejoined his group on December 7.

Pvt. Johnson entered the service in March, 1944, and took his training at Camp Roberts, Cal., and Fort Meade, Md.  He went overseas in October, 1944, landed with his division and later moved into Germany.  He is an infantryman with Gen. Patton’s Third army.

IN UNIFORM

Pfc. Roscoe L. Johnson, husband of Eleanor Johnson, 506 Fifth Street, has received his discharge at the separation Center, Fort Still, Oklahoma. Pfc. Johnson spent 20 months in the service, eight of which were overseas. He wears the bronze star, good conduct ribbon, combat infantry badge and European-African-middle eastern ribbon with two battle stars.
