Corning and Seth Hills talk over the war from
the navy and army points of view.
Brothers Receive Their Promotions
When Dr. and Mrs. Leon C. Hills, 212 E. Pierce street learned of the promotion of their son, Sgt. Seth Hills to S. Sgt. they very proud indeed. But when they later learned that by some odd coincidence their other son Signalman 1/c Corning Hills, serving overseas, was also promoted to chief petty officer on Sept. 1, the day held a double significance for them.
S. Sgt. Seth T. Hills entered the army in October of 1942. He is now with the WAC recruiting station of the Seventh Service command in the Omaha postoffice building.
Chief Petty Officer Corning Hills, jr. joined the navy in May of 1942 and has been overseas sixteen months. He is stationed at a naval base somewhere in Sicily.
Both boys were graduated from Abraham Lincoln high school.
