Ex-Waterloo Man on Honda Knott
The body of Charles Frizzell, 34, formerly of 420 South street, Waterloo, is among those of war dead which recently arrived at San Francisco, Cal., it was disclosed Monday.
Frizzel had been listed as from Kellogg, Ia., because his mother, Mrs. Lila Frizzell, now lives at that town.
A radio technician first class, Frizzell was accidentally electrocuted on New Caledonia in 1943.

Frizzell Body Reaches Newton
The body of Charles W. Frizzell, navy radio technician first class, accidentally electrocuted at Noumea, New Caledonia, Aug. 29, 1943, has arrived at Newton, Ia., it was announced here Friday.
Technician Frizzell, a Waterloo resident 15 years and a John Deere Tractor Co. employee for 12, was a navy reservist living at 216 South street when he was called to active duty in 1941. A native of Kellogg, Ia., he was 34 years old at the time of his death.
A military funeral with Rev. Ivan Bachtel, pastor of the First Congregational church, Muscatine, Ia., officiating, and the Newton AMVETS participating will be Sunday at 2:30 p. m. in the Murdoch funeral home, Newton.
Burial will be in the family lot at Newton.
Technician Frizzell is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lila Frizzell, now of Kellogg; two sisters, Ruth, Alhambra, Cal., and Mrs. Cecil Jeffries, Kellogg; and a brother, Walter, of 219 Duryea avenue.
His father died in 1919.

Charles William Frizzell was born Sept. 6, 1908 to Walter Ephraim and Lila May Russell Frizzell. He died Aug. 29, 1943 and is buried in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton, IA.
Petty Officer Frizzell served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
