ROBERT FINNEY
Military reburial services for Robert Finney, formerly of Casebeer Heights, will be conducted at the Rock Island, Ill., arsenal Friday, according to word received here by friends.
He will be buried in the military cemetery at the arsenal. Finney was killed in 1942 (sic, should be 1943) storming the beaches of Guadalcanal with the marine corps.
He was a student at Hawthorne and East Junior high schools and was employed by the Gilbertville Sausage Co. before joining the marines.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Finney, and a sister, Mrs. Robert Shoot, all of Indianapolis, Ind., and the parental grandmother, Mrs. Burt Sidmore, Los Angeles, Cal.
