SOLDIER NEWS.
Pfc. Wm. DeJong, former Sheldon produce dealer, was wounded in France August 11, according to word received by Mrs. DeJong. In a letter dated August 13, he wrote that he was in a hospital in England, with wounds in the right arm and left ankle from an 88 mm. mortar gun. A second letter, received Tuesday, stated that he was getting along all right, but that it would be slow.—Sheldon Mail.
