SOLDIER’S NEWS
Lloyd Buss is spending a 30-day leave after spending two years in the South Pacific. He saw action on most of the invasion fronts in that area. He left the United States on Dec. 23, 1941, and had not been back since.

Lloyd William Buss was born Nov. 3, 1919 to William and Bertha Moir Buss. He died Oct. 21, 2011 and is buried in Memorial Cemetery, LeMars, IA. Lloyd served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Platte (AO-24).
