Pvt. Warren L. Bramble

 

FROM the home of O. G. Bramble, 2715 Ross street, all of the children have gone to war.

The four sons of Mr. Bramble, whose wife died last December 18 (1943), now are widely separated, and serving in various branches of the United States forces.

Technical Sergeant Robert G. Bramble, 22, has been with the army air corps overseas since July, 1942, and received a citation for meritorious service during the Sicilian invasion. He joined the air corps after graduation from high school.  He serves with the troop carriers.

Private Warren L. Bramble, the eldest son, 23, is in training at Camp McCoy, Wis.

Private Harold L. Bramble, 20, the only one of the sons who is married, is in training at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., and will be a member of the air corps solon.  His wife is the former Lois Richter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Richter, 2715 Rebecca street.  They have a son, Richard H., born July 4, last year, whom they have declared will be “a real live nephew of Uncle Sam, born on the Fourth of July.”

John C. Bramble, 18, is in training at Camp Fannin, Tex.  He will be radioman as soon as he completes his training.

The father of the four soldiers is a veteran of the first world war.  He served in the signal corps in 1918, in France.
