OUR NEIGHBORS in the SERVICE
Pocahontas, Ia.—Lt. Dale E. Boyd has been awarded the purple heart for wounds received on November 20, while in combat against the enemy. He also holds the silver star, the good conduct medal, the infantryman’s badge and the bronze star. Lt. Boyd, who has been serving overseas for 30 months, has been in the African, Sicilian, and Normandy campaigns, and until recently had served in Germany. He recently returned to the States for medical treatment.
