Harold Martin Rhoades was born Oct. 2, 1915 to Fred W. and Margaret Lanners Rhoades. He died Nov. 16, 1944 and is buried in Corpus Christi Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA. He was initially buried in the 2nd Marine Division Cemetery on Saipan and returned to the U.S. in 1948.

Pvt. Rhoades served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 2nd Marine Division and was KIA on Saipan.
