Worth Wellons was born Aug. 14, 1920 to James and Rosa Bird Waworth Wellons. He died May 28, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 2, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Hartford Cemetery, Hartford, IA.
Petty Officer Wellons served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Drexler (DD-741) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when that vessel was attacked while enroute to Okinawa. She was sunk and casualties were heavy. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Joseph Frank Wright was born Apr. 20, 1923 to Bert A. and Ada Lucas Wright, He died Dec. 4, 1944 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.
Cpl. Wright served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 716th Bomber Squadron, 449th Bomber Group and died while in the service of his country.
